Dear friends,

For more than a generation, the dream of Bridgewater State University has been shared by alumni, faculty, staff and students alike. With the signing of historic legislation on July 28, 2010, that dream now becomes a reality. To all who have made their voices heard as this process has unfolded, and to all who each day embody the spirit of excellence that has forever defined our institution, know that you have earned the gratitude of countless students who will benefit from this change in the years to come.

The full conversion from college to university will take many months and I ask for the campus community’s patience, prudence and enthusiasm as we enter this exciting period of transformation. We hope this website will serve as an up-to-date resource of critical information about the transition, and we encourage you to check back regularly for updates and new information.
